Meet the Family

Marcos and Betty Lujan are long-time natives of Monahans, Texas where they have raised a family and started two businesses. Marcos has enjoyed a lengthy career in the oilfield beginning with Mobile Oil and ending with his own field service company. In 2009, the two established J. Michael’s Ranch fulfilling a lifelong dream, and have continued to improve the ranch with the help of the family ever since.

Marcos “Mark” Lujan Jr. is Marcos and Betty’s eldest son and also from Monahans. Mark spent 15 years working for the state prison system as a guard and training instructor before joining the family business to become a gas measurement technician. Mark has had a significant role in the development of the family ranch by helping with everything. From pouring concrete and fixing water lines to building blinds and fixing feeders, no job is too little or too big.

Brady Lujan is Mark Lujan’s eldest son and Marcos and Betty’s eldest grandchild. He currently lives and works in Midland, Texas as a petroleum geologist. Brady takes after his father and continues to help develop the ranch since its establishment by helping with almost every large project undertaken on the ranch. Brady runs J. Michael’s online media and acts as both the hunting and hiking guide to guests.
